Idolatry and the Idol of Music – Part 1 (A must for Singers and Instrumentalists)

November 1, 2010

Hey Guys, I wrote a note regarding Idolatry linked with the area of music and I thought I’d turn it into a note. Might aswell make use of these facebook functions. Please understand that this note was not written with the intention of beating people down or making anyone look bad. But I am believing God that others may be set free just as the Lord set me free from this issue in 2008(I hope to share my testimony more often). I write this note full of joy, knowing that some people will be blessed by it. I also know that not everybody will agree and some will completely disregard and argue with its validity. I am however not concerned about how many ‘I Like’s I recieve, or how many, ‘God Bless you bro’ comments. But I am concerned with the fruit. Jesus said, ‘they who are of God, hear my words’ (John 8.47). So I know God will be glorified even if the word of God become a reproach to me. Please read this note with an open heart and may God speak, comfort and deliver!

Please note, if you are tagged, it is because I know you or know of you to be an instrumentalist after the heart of God (I say this with all sincerity). Ok here we go….

 __________________________________________________________________________________________________

It is evident that many muscians and instramentalists love music much more than God! Mic in the hand, worshipping but not the God who created the heavens. Playing instruments, but not for the approval/attention of God! Do you not know that whoever you yield the members of your body, you are a SLAVE to whom you obey leading to DEATH?(Rom 6.16) Lord let TRUE worship spring forth! Amen (30/10/10)

….

Idolatry is now an issue of the heart! Before men would put elements such as stone and wood and bow down and worship them. Now, believers and non-believers do the same in the heart. Worshipping creation rather than the creator. Giving affection and their life to the tool/work rather than the God who saved them.

This isn’t to beat down, but to speak of the truth of what is happening. Nadab and Ahibu offered up profrane fire before the Lord just once, and they were consumed by fire….But now because of grace, we feel free as singers and musicians to offer up a strange fire and incense before the Lord so reguarly and feel okay…because of His grace….

Please let us understand that the grace of God is for you to walk in holiness not to live in sin (Pride of life/Lust of the eyes/Lust of the flesh). Jesus saved us so that we would no longer live for ourselves, like the devil, but that we would live as people saved giving glory to God.

Whenever a believer uses the members of their bodies, ie their Mouth(voice), Hands(skill) to attract attention to themselves in any form, this is usually classed under the pride of life (1 John 2.15). The devil formerly known as Lucifer, was in a position where he used to give God glory just as we are now. But at one point he was not happy/satisfied with all the attention going toward God. But he desired it for himself…Im sure we all know the rest of the story…he wanted to overthrow God so that he could be worshipped. This lead to his eternal damnation, seperated from God FOREVER! In these last days as children of God we must understand that the reason he did this is because sin was in his heart. his heart lifted up, he put himself in a position where people would look upto him and he would recieve attention because of what he could do. This is a trap that the devil has many believers in and possibly you reading now! The pride of life is something we overcome through the knowledge of Jesus, but the devil tries soo hard to blind people with self self self to keep believers bound in darkness!

LETS EXAMINE OURSELVES!!!

When you minister, do you tend to find SELFSIH AMBITION always creeping in? IF GOD SAID TO YOU TO DROP YOUR INSTRUMENT FOR HIM..COULD YOU?, AFTERALL IT IS THE CREATED TOOL AND PROVIDED TO EXPRESS LOVE UNTO GOD? Could you drop your dreams and ambitions for fame (if you have any)? Do you feel happy when people mention your name in testimonials or acknowledgements? Do you get a feeling of resentment when your name is NOT mentioned? When you are ministering, do you tend to find you are not worshipping all the time (we are required to)? Do you find when you are practising, you learn chords, scales with the thought that one day when you play, others will hear and think woow, he’s deep? Do you spend as much time as you minister before men as you do before God? Do you who sing, listen to other gospel artist and youtubers, to sound good before God or before men? Do you know what it feels like to truly worship God consistenly on your own…or do you need a crowd to get to that place in God? Do you love the ministry of music more than God? Do you dream to one day be in a big group or to be known like Kirk Franklin, because God TRULY created for that purpose or because of hidden crave for attention/appreciation? Do you live for the praises of man, or the acceptance from God? Or do you truly just love status and the feeling of being popular/well known/accepted/loved by men/praised/ The heart is DECIETFULLY wicked and who can know it (Jer 17.10)! To live for the praises of men, is a heart that departs from God!

For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ. (Gal 1.10)

How can you believe, who receive honor from one another, and do not seek the honor that comes from the only God? (John 5.44)

If you stumble at one or some of these (which most people would) then this note is for you and even if God has delivered you, it’s still for you as the word of the Lord is fresh to those who seek to know Him more! This examination was partly for those who feel they may be exempt. It’s either your delivered or in need of full deliverance! I believe that the deliverance starts as soon as one comes to know about these things, then call on the Lord and repent! (Rom 10.9)

As something I have been through and struggled with and seen God’s merciful delivering hand, it is something God has made me more aware of, not to make people feel bad, but to encourage people to come out of and be delivered from. Selfsih ambition if not dealt with and left, is the same as anything else, ie the demon of lust/pride etc. Do not let the devil rule over you, you are Christ’s own, bought with a price and seated with Him in heaven. Therefore lay aside every weight and the sin that so easily ensnares (Heb 12.1). Keep praying for His grace from the Lord to over come. Acknowledge the sin before God, do not justify and back up with worldy phrases such as…’musical expression’, ‘lets not be too spiritual’. I understand that this is a very technical topic, and there will be questions. For those who genuinely want more understand on these contraversial/debatable terms PM me and i’ll try and explain.

Be the believer that desires to obey God when He speaks, rather than justifying ones actions. Abraham may not have fully understood what God meant when the Lord asked him to offer up his son. But beacuse of ‘Godly fear’ He obeyed. Do not be of those who disobey God’s voice, because you feel you don’t have enough information. Obey based on what God has spoken through His word and seek God more on the matter. Understand that ‘GOD CAN ONLY DELIVER YOU WHEN YOU CONFESS YOUR SIN BEFORE HIM, BUT IF YOU DENY YOUR SIN THEN YOU’LL REMAIN BOUND’.

The moment we ignore God willingly, our hearts become hardened. And as much as we claim to love God, the truth is, our love decreases. And as much as He loves us, He gives people over to their love/desires, if they choose to ignore Him. Rom 1.25-26, Isaiah 66.4, Psalms 78, 2 Thess 2.10 (I have a libary collection of scriptures on this topic if needed :-)). Spiritual blindness happens when one lets go of the truth that God has showed them in Christ Jesus. Imeediately a persons eyes go dim and dark jus as one would without light (also known as DECEPTION..PLS READ BELOW)

DECEPTION (1 tIMOTHY 4.1-2)

The devil is a deciever, that is his main game! This topic is SOOO broad so I won’t go too deep, as this note may be lengthy already. From what I have learnt, somebody who believes that they cannot be decieved are ALREADY DECIEVED. Why? Because the more the light of Christ dwells in you, the more traps/deception God opens your eyes to see (please study the life of Jesus and see how He avoided every trap the devil set for Him). But if you think you are not able to be decieved, you are decieved because you already show you have not relied on God to stand. But you stand by yourself claiming that you know it all and there is no possibility you are wrong in your knowledge/understanding of God and His thoughts towards you. And take heed lest you fall. The more mature a believer becomes, the more they realise they are not exempt from fallingl, but God upholds them, therefore they become wise by taking more heed to God’s word in fear and trembling.

Deception is where A believer loses the knowledge of God through willingly giving in to lies of the devil. In the wilderness the devil took Jesus up to different places showing him the glories of the world(just as he does many believing musicians ie in dreams, presenting opportunities) and began to show Him the glories of the world and offers this to Jesus at a price. That price was forsaking the knowledge He had of God for the lie of the devil. But Jesus overcame by speaking the word of God. Many believers fall at this point, they struggle to hold on to the truth and because of lack of understanding, follow after the things of the world without fully knowing. God being righteous and just, continues to warn and speak, but after a while, He gives people over to their own desire, YES EVEN CHRISTIANS who do not repent! (again this is soo broad..Ps 78.29, Eph 4.17-19, 1 Kings 22, Ez 11.21, 1 Tim 3.2-7, Prov 1.29-31, Deut 13.1-3, Is 44.18-20,is 66.4, Romans 1.24-26, Ez 14.2-3, Rom 11.32, Ps 81.12, Rev 20.7-10).

These scriptures speak of the consistency of God giving people over to their desire whether it be God’s people Israel or us God’s people that were grafted in. Please also read the word Jesus speaks to the churchs in Revelations (Chp 2-3) understanding that these were given to God’s people, the people who were supposed to be walking according to God’s ways. May God give us all more understanding in these things as we read over the scriptures.

If we repent genuinely and sincerely, God will never let us go far, but will draw us back. True repentance is seen by a lifestyle. We must drop our theology and let God be our teacher, He will lead us into all truth. Everything He may desire us to let go of, is for our good, that we may taste again of Jesus Christ, who He is, His love that the world cannot see. Jesus said, if your left hand causes you to sin cut it off…(Matthew 5.29-30).With repentance, its not only a matter of praying and fasting, once you pray, God will release grace to also DO the things that are pleasing before Him. This usually includes letting go of the idol itself (God will lead)! Yup! He gave the gift of Isaac to Abraham, but to know if Abraham TRULY loved God, the Lord asked Abraham to kill Isaac. Yet behold, Abraham was able to make the decision to kill Isaac because He loved God without putting Isaac, the gift, before the God the giftgiver! Will you? (Help is available)

Please understand again, I write this in hope that as God opened my eyes He will open many others. Please share this with others you believe it will be a blessing to. In 2008, the Lord called me to take the very thing I loved (Keyboard) and forsake it for Him! After I made this decision in my heart in a fellowship meeting, a great tangible heaviness left my heart, and the peace and joy of God was more present than I had ever experienced. My life in God took a complete 360 turn. In every area, the way I heard the Lord changed, the things I saw changed, my prayer life, my encounters with the Lord, my heart changed, my understanding of the word, the way the Lord would use me changed (I could go on..but I think you get the point…LOL), EVERYTHING! I have not written this note to lord myself over people, ie to look big or better! But similarly as Paul ministered with more zeal to provoke Israelite towards the Lord, I write this to provoke you to go deeper in your walk with the Only True Living God. He is real…the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, as alive and wants YOU and I to go deeper to that next leve in Him. Its not just about sundays, but about experiecing God similarly and even greater than the people of old. Walking in Him and experiencing His love undescribably, daily, not in an emotional service way, but in a ‘all the time’ way! I wish I could share this testimony with everybody since but the Lord had me wait for a while. I still hope to go in more detail as time goes on. I have not spoken much about music itself, but I hope to aswell as time goes on. Please, go back and seek the Lord first over the things you have read. Test every spirit as the bible says in 1 John 4.1 and also let us not despise the word of God!

I have decided not to mention dreams/visions on this as the word of the Lord is sufficent and His words are life! But the Lord has shown me visions/dreams on this topic to emphasis how ‘SERIOUS’ the topic is. We have no sure word of prophesy, than God speaking from heaven through and to His people! But I hope to share some in more notes and statuses on this topic. I do not claim to attained, I am not better than anyone else, everything I know, or I think I know (lol) has all come from the revelation of Jesus. So its never about me or you but all about Him…aargghh….JESUS!

Please know that I am here to encourage, if anyone has questions or wants help or advice in this area, please feel free to contact me. I know what it means to struggle in this area, I would often spend hours and hours infront of my instrument, and hours listening to gospel music with the wrong motives. Because of it, my deep desire for God was not being met, I always could tell, something was missing, but I could not put my finger on it until the Lord in His kindness opened my eyes to see clearly! This issue (Idolatry and the Idol of Music) if not dealt with/addressed or brought to the Lord, will destroy believers But God will help us all in Jesus name! Amen

The Lord will help us, the Lord will deliver us, the Lord will save us, for He is our God and our victory! AMEN

I really love you guys, God bless you :-)

The Truth Behind the Gospel of Christ

April 21, 2010

Hey My Brothers and Sisters…

There are many spiritual truths in the bible and if we do not get THIS concept right our whole walk will follow a pattern that is not of God. It grieves me that many have strayed away from the truth of the Gospel…not that I have attained…but the Lord desires us all including myself to know the truth and to walk in it. That we may prove what is His perfect will.

The bible says that men will have itchy ears and heap up for themselves teachers..according to their own desires and lust..even calling it the Gospel (2 tim 4.3)! Some of us are crying out daily to experience God..to know Him..to get deeper with Him,live rightly before Him (some of us arent…but I pray God will change that)…even in our striving against sin…to be spotless and blameless before Him. But God will never go against His word! Anyone that will follow Him..must first deny Himself! Do not subsistitute the joy that comes from God with the joy that comes from the material things of the world. These are very different. The emotion of joy can come from maybe you get a new job…Praise God..a new car…GLORY…but we can never substitute this for the joy that Jesus speaks of in John 15.11 where He says

11I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.

Hence why when depression and despair comes..the joy from the job cannot fight it..the feeling of loneliness cannot be overcome through your new car and the struggle of lust cannot be overcome through your much service in the church(building) to God. At times we substitute what we NEED for what we want..because we want we see as a faster route to help us with our challenges. But what we need is Jesus!

Many of us have substituted that which we earnestly desired to come from Him directly with the things of this world!!!

For some that are saying this brother is being too spiritual…we are called to be spiritual and not carnal…for some that think what I’m saying is soo foreign..its because the church has moved soo far away from the doctrine of Christ – The Bible.

Look at the lives of the apostles…the reason they were able to do what they did was because Jesus WAS their lives..they counted the things of this world as loss knowing their inheritance was Him, being with Him and the promise of an expected end with Him.

Paul said…That I may know Him in the power of His ressurection and in the fellowship of His sufferings….BEING CONFORMED TO HIS DEATH…

We speak about crucifying the flesh..dying daily etc….the truth of it is..if we have not let go of our lives(OUR DESIRES) for Christ, we are still not living up to the call of Christ…He says that

25 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. (Matthew 16.25)

We are called to suffer for Christ in this world till He comes…

God is asking us to rend our hearts and walk with Him. Follow Him wherever He leads.

Please let us not become wise in our own eyes…God provides according to our needs..for someone it could be He needs to recieve a million pounds in a rich environment to do what God has ordained…for some it might mean not living in the way society(and christiendom) see’s as prosperous but having that which is needed to glorify God and do His will. Read the last scripture and may He open the eyes of our understanding!

Phil 4.11
11 Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. 12 I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. 13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

Gaining Christ Christ does not speak about our earthly riches…

Please let us pray us pray on this matter and this prayer based on Eph 1.17-18 that:

Lord teach me your ways that I may know you and live a life that is in complete submission to your word!

God Bless you all and please watch these clips on youtube as they speak about the true essence of the Gospel of Christ..

The Truth Behind Loneliness!!

April 21, 2010

God is good im going to make a bold statement(May God continually be with Me LOL)…………………..
‘AS CHRISTIANS WE SHOULD NEVER BE LONELY!!!’

Yes it sounds like another religious statement, for those guys who take it too deep/spiritual…etc..but please hear me out………….

When we look throught the lives of the Prophets/Apostles/People who walked with God, we see that there was sooo much intimacy with God. There is soo much depth to His love, it goes beyond the flesh. This statement, when we hear it with the flesh/mind, it does not register and we in our own minds can not contemplate it being a reality. But again as we go back, those who walked with God in the past had such intimacy to the point of willing to even die for Him if it meant pleasing God…
The question now comes, why do we get this feeling? Also is it truly possible to be in a place where we do not feel lonely..??
I boldy say YES

Matthew 6.28-30

‘Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?’

God literally can cloth us with His love to the extent we need not desire anything/anyone else. The truth of the matter is, it is OUR FAITH that brings this intimacy to manifestation. The continuing exercising of our faith according to the word of God. The feeling of loneliness will come, truly everyone will get the feeling for many reasons but depending on our relationship with God, the love/acceptance/intimacy we have with God very quickly brushes aside the feeling…again depending on our own individual walk with God.

Heb 11.6
But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

A lot of people will hear this and rather accept the lie, that man/woman(marriage) will fill this gap we have. Henceforth run towards marriage (which isnt the solution and the evidence is seen for those who do it when they realise the mistake). What married people don’t tell you (those that decided to run in marriage because of loneliness) is that they still feel lonely, even very often in marriage LOL. At first its all a great adventure, but AFTER ‘camera/lights/action’, the music slows down, then theres that big cry because of the emptyness and our souls still yearn to be arrayed and clothed by Him!!!!!!!!! OOH JESUS!!!OH How we need you!!! come fill our lives! :-)

The feeling of loneliness can come from a lot of things, false teaching, comparing ourselves to other people(the MOST common), lust, jealousy. it is not a sin to feel lonely as we all will have had and will have our moments, but know it is a FEELING that can be changed by our relationship with God. The feeling is saying God cannot satisfy us and God is not enough…The truth is He will, when we desire Him and that desire being seen with our lives as a sacrifice to Him (FAITH WITHOUT WORKS IS DEAD), in the truth of His word.

But the state/feeling of loneliness came from mans separation from the divine nature of God. Consider the following…

God in His wisdom saw that Adam needed a helper hence He says

And the Lord God said, “ It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”(Gen 2.18).

God in His wisdom gives Eve as a helper to him, to give him comfort and help for life and everything man was called to do (Gen 1.28). Most importantly that Adam would not be alone. But with all of that we see that the helper God gave to Adam, did not take away or prevent loneliness.

Later on they disobey God and are left feeling naked and lonely once again. (Gen 3.10). God again in His mercy clothes them in a temporary garment (Gen 3.21) until the fullness of time would come…
…. 4 But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem (bring back from) those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption(to take as one’s own) as sons.

Jesus now comes and says

16 And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever— 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you. (John 14.16-18)

Please take note to the divine words of Jesus “He will give you another Helper“. The first helper (Eve) was comparable to Adam and did not add eternal sustenance to keep and clothe Adam, being “comparable to him” meaning like him, in other words mere flesh. But the second is not like the first, this Helper was not comparable to Adam, but this Helper is God!

Hence Jesus immediately after says “I will not leave you as orphans (alone/desolate/forsaken); I will come to you“, meaning Jesus spoke about the new help/comfort being God Himself! (Consider 1 John 5.7, John 14.10-27, John 17.3, John 10.10). Do you see how Christ came to remove loneliness? Lonelinesss is only removed in Christ and nothing comparable to Adam(flesh) or any created thing can be substituted with the love of our creator!

David said
O God, You are my God;
Early will I seek You;
My soul thirsts for You;
My flesh longs for You
In a dry and thirsty land
Where there is no water.(Ps 63.1-3)

David was in a true place of intimacy where he desired God to the extent that he never felt satisfied hence wanting more! Yes he made mistakes but it did not change what he was experiencing with God. (Ps 27).  Hence why God said david was a man after His own heart…..

AND THATS THE SECRET….lets be right after God’s heart, lets desire to know Him above all. As we do that, everything is added! Its a typical verse we hear in church, but when we follow it and are obedient God has promised to satisfy us with EVERYTHING!!!(I pray the Lord helps us to truly take and apply this concept and not let it(HIM) pass us by. Infact lemme expand on that….
…….in brackets I said Him, yes, the truth is when we do not desire Him above all, he passes us by, im not talking about His hand, im talking about His face…knowing Him. Experiencing Jehova!!! This is what christianity is all about. Incase people don’t agree with my comment on God passing people by, lemme show it by scripture a popular one, often read without the interpretation and understanding of the Holy Spirit.

John 4.24
23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

Now God would never say something and not show us how, but He showed the example of a life of TRUE worship in Jesus Christ. The desire of Christ was not to do anything of His own will, but to please the father (Matthew 5.30)

Matthew 26.42
42He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done.”

You see even in the most lonely time where Jesus was deserted by the disciples in His time of trouble, it was still always about Him..also coming back to the the context of John 4.23, God saw a worshipper in His son Christ..hence why in the most lonely time God saw Him came down and gave Him strength. If you read earlier before Jesus prayed, the bible says that Jesus said;

‘My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death’ (Mark 14.34)

But yet take note that after He feverently prayed He then got up and carried on with what he was called to do. God did not only give Him phyiscal strength but also overcame the power of the flesh including all forms of loneliness. So please guys in our time of emotion lets do what Jesus did. Lets live the life that Jesus lived (1 John 2.6).

To some it up…John 17.3

‘And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.’

For all of us who desire Him to take us to this place of contentment in Him, May He continually bring us there, not for a an emotional hour/day/week/month, but throughout our lives married/unmarried till He comes(It’s all about Him)!!!!! May He build us to the place where we desire Him alone…knowing that as we desire Him..EVERYTHING we need will be added in His own time. May we walk in His perfect will. AMEN, I pray this has blessed someone! It sure has blessed me!

Please take note: this message is not to abominate marriage, as marriage was and is ordained by God and is a gift of God, but this note is to let you know that loneliness is ONLY taken away in Christ.

Love You ALL and God Bless You :-)

What is Purpose as a believer?

April 21, 2010

Hello blessed people of God,

I thought I would add/conclude a little on the topic of purpose. In this topic is where one of the biggest deceptions lie in the church, preventing genuine believers from walking in higher depths of the life in Jesus Christ and experiencing deeper depths of His tangible love which He eagerly wants to pour out in us.(this note may be considered as long, it is because I wanted to explain this misunderstood concept in brief detail :-0). I am praying that if any of us including myself are not walking in the revelation of His word…He will deliver us at the entrance of His word! Also that anyone who has decided not to read this email due to length will consider the eternal value of God’s word! Please read and may the Lord bless you in Jesus name! AMEN

Purpose? What is my purpose??How can I fullfill my purpose??

Romans 8.28-29
28 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. 29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son.

My bold interpretation is that our purpose is to be conformed to the image of His son. Dictionaries suggest that the word conformed means ‘to correspond with’ or ‘to act in accordance’. Our lives as christians is for the heavens, the earth and everything beneath the earth, to witness OUR lives being changed by the power of God (Eph 3.8-11..according to the eternal purpose‘). Please note that this is a life long process until Jesus comes back. Before I go on…..

I pray in the name of Jesus Christ, that our hope and our source of drive for ministry/our walk with God/career/ our LIFE, would come from the desire for Jesus alone(with no strings attached and not for what we can get/gain/achieve)…. Our zeal from the ‘desire to be used’ will not carry us in our walk, but our selfless pursuit of knowing Him surely will!!! Rather than trials making us stronger they could cause us to continue to struggle in our walk with the Lord, if we do not yeild to Him, walking in His truth, because deep down the ‘desire to be used’ is usualy linked with desire for power/wealth/honor/false sense of security/self confidence/temporary emotional highs(walking in the flesh), the very things which are against the nature of the life Jesus lived and God can never deliver our flesh from the enemy/attack but its our spirit He so desires to empower. We all get through because of His mercy and grace, but He does not want us to walk without confidence in Him..which is poured out from heaven and not something we can cloth on like a garment or just say we have. Our level of Confidence comes from the level of revelation we have of who He is. The revelation of ‘who God is’ tangibly strengthens us in our situations. Many of us qoute the scripture regarding God never allowing temptations to come our way that we cannot bare and He will make a way of escape…well those who seek Him to know Him dwell in Him…ie our place of escape is in Him…The name of the Lord is strong tower….those who dwell in the secret place of the most high shall abide in the shadow of the almighty….The men of God sought God’s face because they realised that He is all they needed. (Please read Heb 11)

But we cannot move in this depth of spiritual living in Christ if we are still in the flesh.

Gal 5.19-21

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery,[c] fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders,[d] drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

2 Tim 3.2-5(Paul speaking to Timothy about the future of people found in the church)

2 For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, 4 traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having a form of godliness but denying its power.

1 Tim 6.3-6

3 If anyone teaches otherwise and does not consent to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which accords with godliness, 4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but is obsessed with disputes and arguments over words, from which come envy, strife, reviling, evil suspicions, 5 useless wranglings[a] of men of corrupt minds and destitute of the truth, who suppose that godliness is a means of gain. From such withdraw yourself.[b]
6 Now godliness with contentment is great gain

1 Tim 6.7-10

7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain[c] we can carry nothing out. 8 And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. 9 But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

Ephesians 4.17-19
“This I say, therefore, and testify in the Lord, that you should no longer walk as the rest of[a] the Gentiles walk (question is..how do the christians walk differently to the gentiles? Is it not by walking after the desires of the Spirit rather than the flesh!), in the futility of their mind, 18 having their understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God, because of the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart; 19 who, being past feeling, have given themselves over to lewdness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.”

..etc. But He that desires Jesus…just to know Him, to be at His feet, desiring so earnestly to be changed into His likeness recieves grace. because such are the people that James spoke of who humble themselves before the Lord receiving grace.(James 4.6).

Someone will say but my brother…. my big desire to be used is not based on selfish desires but I desire the Lord to be glorified and do what He wants. Then I would reply..then if truly we desire to be used, we don’t need to wait…everyday is a day to fulfill purpose and walk as Jesus did……AND THERES MORE MORE MORE THAN ENOUGH WORK TO DO….

Somebody who desires Jesus above all recieves more grace to be in Him and dwell in Him. This means that while everyone else is praying ‘God help me to fullfil purpose/show me my purpose’…God will make every day of your life stand for purpose because His Spirit dwells in you with a daily agenda for the building of God’s Kingdom. He will not only show you your purpose, but reveal to you what He is doing round the world and open our eyes to the last hour deceptions which are everywhere, especially in the church. But God will deliver us in Jesus name! AMEN

People who desire to know Jesus alone slowly see a change in their actions and the unction of God’s hand upon his/hers life. Then the word of God is no longer just written but is living and present in our life. The more God becomes our only desire we realise that our prayers change, our reasoning changes and God begins to manifest the desires He places in our hearts. His word(truth) must first abide(live) in you for Him to manifest Himself without limitation.(John 15.7). This is what the word means when it speaks of delighting yourself in the Lord. This ties in with ’1 John 5.14′ of asking according to His will…its only His word in us that causes us to pray in line with His will, not our carnal desires. God is not carnal and can never put His word aside for our agenda. He doesn’t need our advice or desires for His kingdom (its all been written from Genesis to Revelation)..Jesus will build it…so as we desire Him we allow Jesus to enter and walk through us….AND BUILD BUILD BUILD!!!

Psalms 37.4
Delight yourself also in the LORD, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Love(‘..God is love’) can not be conqured/mastered in the time we spend here on earth…so if we find we are waiting for something it means we are already being disobedient in the great commision of love!

Matthew 22.37-39
37 Jesus said to him, “ ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’[d] 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.

Some of us have been blessed with the gift of encouragement, some of use the gift of giving, along with that, the mandate of the church is to preach the gospel. As we seek Jesus…JUST TO KNOW HIM…He will give us more than enough to do because He begins to share His burdens with us. He has many things to speak to us about…so much that pen and paper would not be able to take down…

Again I say…..Someone who delights in the Lord, placing their hunger for God above everything else…is immediately empowered by the Lord through hope. So works are almost uncontrollable. In fact Jeremiah made a decision in his mind that he would not preach….but the Lords word was inside him like fire and he could not help but preach(Jer 20.7-9). The truth is, the closer we walk with God, a pure refined selfless desire for God to be glorifed comes forth and transcends beyond every other desire that wages against us.

Somebody who dwells in the presence of the Lord, experiences Jehovah in a new way daily and is constantly hearing the Lord through His word. Moses saw the Lord in the form of fire one time…but then another time saw Him as a great dark cloud..the same God…but Moses found grace before the Lord and the Lord blessed Him by revealing His goodness(ex 33.7-23) but we have recieved grace through Jesus Christ (Heb 4.16).

Joseph’s destination was to be 2nd in command, ruler over the nation. But as he was faithful in the small God used him whever he was. In potiphers house he was ruler over the house, even in the prison he was made ruler of the prison house.
David was placed in charge of the sheep by his father and when a bear came to take on of them…David slew the bear. No wonder He had confidence against goliath because God had already trained him and he was faithful in the small. The Apostles where sent out two by two to preach the word by themselves, when they recieved the holy Spirit, they were already trained by their past experience.
If we ever find ourselves neglecting the small and desiring the greater things first, self seeking is always present and may the Lord deliver us in Jesus name!!

WHATEVER GOD IS CALLING YOU TO DO IN THE FUTURE, YOU SHOULD BE WALKING IN NOW!!!If we are walking in the spirit/purpose. of God.

The truth of it all is we cannot give what we do not have and our focus should be on the giver. This is what Paul describes as the mind-set of a ‘MATURE’ believer!

Phil 3.7-15
7 But what things were gain to me, these I have counted loss for Christ. 8 Yet indeed I also count all things loss for the excellence of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them as rubbish, that I may gain Christ….15 Therefore let us, as many as are mature, have this mind; and if in anything you think otherwise, God will reveal even this to you. 16 Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule,[b] let us be of the same mind.

2 Cor 5.14-15

14 For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; 15 and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again.

The scripture says He ‘seeks’ those who will worship Him in Spirit and in truth(John 4.23-24), meaning that not EVERYBODY will choose to seek Him beyond the comfortablity and confines of the building on sunday/traditions of men. But there are a generation of those who seek Him and by His Grace…We are privilidged to be given the choice to be part of that generation and our hope is that we will be!!! AMEN

The Lord desires that we would love Him with EVERYTHING we have, with no strings attached (only God can do this, but when we desire Him to). For in this place….God can now BLESS us with the life that is in Him flowing into and through us. When we begin to drink of His water….we are never satisfied…and the truth begins to become our delight even when we see areas of our lives that does not match it! Jesus is ever satisfying. Insecurities and loneliness begins to depart because we experience more and more that we are..‘complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power’ (col 2.10).

John 17.2-3
2 as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should[a] give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. 3 And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.

When we see Him in the midst of our situation we are CHANGED! Only those who sit at His feet can see clearly the face of Jehovah! (2 Cor 3.18)

Now let us begin to persue Him like never before…Only Moses at the time of God’s visitation upon mount Sinai (Ex 20) had the grace to dwell in the depths of the presence of the Lord, but now we have been given the grace through Jesus Christ to boldy come before Him and see His face..to know Him! More grace is poured for us to run even more when we behold Him!!

John 7.18

He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.

Isaiah 64.6
7 And there is no one who calls on Your name,
Who stirs himself up to take hold of You
;
For You have hidden Your face from us,
And have consumed us because of our iniquities.

Psalm 14.2
The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand…..who seek God.

1 Peter 1.13
Therefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and rest your hope fully upon the grace that is to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

In summary.. His words are Spirit and they are life…Yes it is not easy, it is difficult! But the more we desire Him and move in obedience, the more we become strengthened in our faith in Him, not wavering but walking with an increasingly greater level of conviction of who God is and how much we need Him(Romans 4.20-22). In other words the dispensation of His love is poured out in our hearts in greater measures as a result of us seeking Him to know Him. This in essence makes it easier and more exciting as our confidence in Him grows.JESUS

Lord I pray that that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Him,
and that18 the eyes of your understanding[a] being enlightened; that you may know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,(Eph 1.17-18)..Lord as we begin to pursue even more, we pray that You will above all draw us closer to you, walk through us, helping us walk rightly before you. AMEN

So as we wake up, let us not stir ourselves in works, but rather stir ourselves up in Him, delighting in our God and our unquenchable pursuit to know Him. As we delight in Him, His purposes shall surely come to pass. AMEN

Thank you for taking time to read and the Lord will continue to bless you with all glory going to Him. :-)

Love you all!!!
